Hillside Fruit Forest

Rising above the farmhouse, a thriving organic "food forest" is taking root. This isn’t just an orchard; it’s a living ecosystem where over 100 varieties of fruit trees will grow in harmony with California native shrubs and groundcover, each layer with a purpose. By mimicking the layers of a natural forest, our plan is to create a sustainable, low-maintenance sanctuary. The perimeter will be fringed with 15 species of native wildflowers that support our local bees and butterflies, ensuring our hillside hums with life.
